Wright Flyer Models

On December 17th, 1903 Orville and Wilbur Wright became the first to fly a manned heavier-than-air aircraft. While the flight was short (12 seconds) and covered a short distance (120 feet), subsequent flights became longer and covered greater distances.

With each improvement in their flying machines the Wright Brothers became more covetous of their inventions, unwilling to sell them outright but rather leasing them. Time overcame them, however, as more and more inventors created more and more airplanes.

By the Great War in 1918 many aircraft like the Curtiss Jenny JN-4 which was used for training and airplanes like the Sopwith Camel had come into existence, flying above 20,000 feet and dog fighting with German fighters and bombers.

These models are exact replicas of the original Wright Flyer, can easily be assembled and flown, and will provide hours of enjoyment for any aviation enthusiast.
