This is a paper card model of the famous ME109D fighter aircraft flown by German Aces during the Second World War.
At first the Allies had a difficult time in combating this aircraft because of it's outstanding performance, but soon production of the North American P51A and the British Spitfire provided aircraft that compete with the ME109D in aerial combat.
