At the start of the Second World War aviation had been ignored by the U.S. military which found itself without much in the way of pilots and aircraft. Most of the aircraft from the First World War had been sold off as surplus, and were used by barnstormers and aviation enthusiasts to learn and teach people how to fly.
With the impending war the United States desperately needed pilots and airplanes, and several different companies were tasked with designing, manufacturing and providing training aircraft to the U.S. Army Air Corps.
The Cessna Aircraft Company was tasked with producing a multi-engine training aircraft to provide primary training for bomber pilots.
This aircraft was the most widely used twin engine trainer aircraft for pilots in the Second World War. We have recreated this interesting aircraft as a paper card model airplane which is easy and fun to build.
The paper card model airplane is delivered to you as a pdf file which should be downloaded to your desktop and saved. You will then print the pdf file on 32# paper in full color. For assembly all that is required is a pencil, a pair of scissors, a knife and some white glue.
Once assembled you will have a beautiful model of the Cessna twin engine Bamboo Bomber aircraft to display on your desk or shelf, one which will be hard to differentiate from plastic or wood models.
